From the Coffee-Shop to the food trade
New concepts and marketing approaches are signals of innovative marketing actions by modern, market-driving companies.
An important milestone for the international marketing of high-quality wafers and chocolate pastries was the opening of the first coffee-shop „LOACKER MOCCARIA” by A. LOACKER AG, Unterinn/Bozen, South Tyrol. The new concept also includes a LOACKER-shop with the complete product range of the Italian market leader.
Coffee-specialities are not only established in Germany but firmly established itself internationally. No matter whether in the coffee-shop, high-level gastronomy and hotel industry, in the restaurant chain, the bistro or the Italian ice cream parlour – Latte Macchiato, Café Latte, Cappuccino and Espresso are among the winners of a restaurant. LOACKER took this development and created a modern and new coffee-shop concept and in doing so setting new standards.
Lifestyle with a premium-promise
Italian bar, Italian patisserie, coffee shop and Loacker shop – all this is combined in the LOACKER MOCCARIA whereby a modern and uniquely styled atmosphere is created. The lounge invites you to stay, whereas for customers who do not have time high chairs and bar tables are available. With 195 seats the new LOACKER MOCCARIA possesses a very central role. The Loacker Moccaria was designed by the Munich architecture Daniel Hildmann (Pacha, Kytaro etc.).
The coffee bar, located in the middle with a cake- and snack-bar visible from every angle, has a back wall that shows an image of the “Schlern”, illuminated variously according to the time of the day: the visual effect is likely to bias the customers’ visual attention.
The Schlern belongs as a key visual to Loacker; it stands for naturalness and also appears on the packaging. Stefan Mayer from Augsburg, who worked closely with the lighting designer Ingo Maurer for many years, has created this.
Coffee and snacks after the premium philosophy of LOACKER
The coffee beans are a mixture of seven different varieties. The blending and roasting is specially designed for LOACKER MOCCARIA with a light chocolate flavour. There is also a connection between LOACKER products and their beverages: Latte Napolitaner, for example, is a Latte Macchiato with hazelnut flavour. For the different varieties of beverages with flavour, LOACKER developed own creams from natural ingredients that are also used in the premium chocolate wafers and pastry products. Of course the creams are entirely without preservatives and artificial flavours and in line with the quality standards and LOACKER’s philosophy.
The creams arise directly from the production of wafers and thus are strongly reminiscent of the familiar and beloved LOACKER taste.
LOACKER MOCCARIA concentrates their food offer mainly on sweets. Only 10% of the assortment is tasty. So, LOACKER is focusing on what have been done in the past and with what they have been grown.
Till this day the customers „only“ get premium wafers and chocolate pastries but now it’s possible to get also fresh prepared small cakes and petits-fours every day. They are clearly recognizable and "tastable" as LOACKER products because they are based on the same ingredients and named after the respective wafer or chocolate pastry. This deepens brand loyalty as well as product awareness and makes customers aware of available wafers and chocolate pastries in the retail trade.
The recipes are developed particularly for this concept by pastry chef Martin Loacker (grandson of the company founder).
The link between feasting and shopping
An inherent part of the LOACKER MOCCARIA-concept is a shop, which offers the entire product range of the South Tyrolean family company, for real „LOACKER“-holics. Up to 30% of the restaurant area is reserved for the shop. Depending on the position it has two entries: one directly from the restaurant and a second one independently from it. So, again you get the connection to retailing and strengthen brand loyalty and customer loyalty.
The concept LOACKER MOCCARIA will increase the demand for LOACKER in Austria, South Tyrol and also other countries like Germany. German tourists represent the largest part in the tourism industry in South Tyrol and play a major role also in Italy.
Clear for takeoff
The LOACKER MOCCARIA started with the opening in the DOB in November, simultaneously with the winter season in the Alps. Further shops worldwide are in planning!
